Version
ICEfaces 1.7

*Training is conducted on the latest stable version of ICEfaces.

Day 1 begins with an introduction to JavaServer Faces (JSF). Working with your choice of IDE (MyEclipse, Eclipse, or NetBeans) you will create and deploy a JSF web application. Each lecture is followed by an exercise, covering a broad range of JSF features. The exercises build upon each other, so that by the end of the course, you will have a fully functional enterprise application.

Day 2 of the course continues to expand your knowledge of JSF and then provides an introduction to ICEfaces. The exercises will have you convert your application to ICEfaces and take advantage of Ajax features such as partial-submit. Afterward you will fortify your application with ICEfaces components.

Day 3 of the course focuses on application design. After creating tables in a Derby database, you will use the Spring Framework to give your application a loosely-coupled, service-oriented architecture.

Day 4 of the course continues with building your application. You will learn how to inject Spring services into your managed beans and use ICEfaces to build a Rich Internet Application (RIA) that features Create, Read, Update, and Delete (CRUD) functionality.

Day 5 of the course rounds-out your knowledge of ICEfaces. We can also teach the developemnt of ICEfaces portlets if needed.
