Customized Training Sessions
This is an on-site version of our popular Introduction to ICEfaces (see above). While still providing a basic introduction to JSF and ICEfaces, the onsite nature of this course allows us to tailor the training sessions to your specific environment, target applications, and particular areas of interest. Typically, these involve more specialized topics such as scalability, Ajax security, accessibility best practices, custom component development for ICEfaces, etc.

ICEfaces Application Practicum
This popular course is a hands-on session with our senior training resources. This practicum will focus on your specific application architecture and development best practices with respect to ICEfaces and JSF. The professional ICEfaces trainer will work with you and your team to set up your environment and develop your real-world application with ICEfaces.

Liferay, Inc. is a professional open-source company that provides free documentation and paid professional service to users of its software. Mainly focused on enterprise portal technology, the company was founded in 2000 by Brian Chan and currently has its headquarters in Los Angeles, California, United States.

Liferay was created in 2000 by Chief Software Architect Brian Chan to provide a enterprise portal solution for non-profit organizations. In 2006, the company was incorporated under the name Liferay, Inc., formalized its Germany subsidiary Liferay GmbH and named as its new CEO Bryan Cheung, the company's former Director of Business Development. In 2007, the company opened a new Asian headquarters in Dalian, China. The company's enterprise portal product has been acknowledged by several notable organizations. It was recognized by EContent magazine in its "EContent 100" list of industry leaders and in 2007, InfoWorld named it a "Technology of the Year." In July 2007, they announced a partnership with ICEsoft Technologies for developing AJAX technology for their enterprise portal software. In January 2008, the company hired the lead engineer for jQuery UI, Paul Bakaus, to exclusively work full-time on the JavaScript library.

ICEfaces is an open source Ajax framework that enables Java EE application developers to easily create and deploy server-based rich Internet application (RIA) in pure Java.

ICEfaces leverages the entire standards-based Java EE ecosystem of tools and execution environments. Rich enterprise application features are developed in pure Java, and in a pure thin-client model. There are no Applets or proprietary browser plug-ins required. ICEfaces applications are JavaServer Faces (JSF) applications, so Java EE application development skills apply directly and Java developers are isolated from doing any JavaScript related development.

The ICEfaces community now counts over 33,000 developers (04/2009) worldwide as of December 2007. The ICEfaces Community is anchored around ICEfaces.org. Contributed and administered by ICEsoft Technologies Inc., ICEfaces.org is a place where enterprise Ajax developers can learn, share, and contribute information and ideas to a growing community of ICEfaces enterprise developers. This site provides a wide range of development and support resources to benefit all ICEfaces developers. Source code and pre-bundled IDE tool integrations are available for download. Numerous tutorials, on-line support, user forums and sample code are all easily accessible to help get you up and developing that much quicker.
