Individual(s) assigned to this category shall be responsible primarily for developing applications software for small-to-highly complex computer systems or portions of large integrated systems. The candidate will translate detailed designs into computer software, prepare detailed flowcharts, develop code, document, and test software. Ideal candidate would also have Liferay Portal, JSF, and ICEfaces experience/knowledge.
Duties may include the creation or modification of administrative, scientific, or systems software, on centralized and distributed systems and finding/fixing software “bugs” in existing code. Duties may also include software test design, test data acquisition and analysis, and test result analysis and reporting. The candidate shall have a minimum of two (2) years of credible experience and be highly familiar with the Java, C, C++, and VHDL programming languages as well as having data flow experience to include Perl scripting language, JDBC and knowledge of UNIX lock file paradigms.
A degree in computer science can be substituted for two (2) years of credible experience.
